Cookies & Similar Technologies

1. About This Notice
This notice explains how IdGenum, LLC ("IdGenum," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies, browser storage, session technologies, and similar technologies when you use our website, applications, authentication flows, or payment services.
Privacy contact: privacy@idgenum.com2. Our Approach
IdGenum is designed to keep the use of tracking technologies to a minimum, and to ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookie.
We use Plausible Analytics for aggregate website analytics. Our standard Plausible implementation does not use analytics cookies, persistent browser identifiers, or cross-site behavioral tracking.
We use one non-essential cookie: a referral cookie provided by FirstPromoter that supports our affiliate program. It is set only after you grant consent through our cookie-consent banner, and you can decline it or withdraw your consent at any time. See Section 3 and Section 7 for details.
IdGenum does not use advertising cookies or similar technologies for cross-site behavioral advertising.
Other cookies, browser storage, session identifiers, or similar technologies are used only where they are strictly necessary to:
- authenticate users;
- maintain secure sessions;
- prevent fraud or abuse;
- protect forms and application requests;
- support payment and checkout functionality;
- operate infrastructure securely; or
- remember settings requested by the user.
4. Analytics
4.1 Plausible Analytics
IdGenum uses Plausible Analytics to understand aggregate website usage and improve the Service.
Plausible is designed to provide privacy-focused analytics without setting analytics cookies or storing persistent identifiers on a visitor's device.
IdGenum does not use Plausible to:
- create advertising profiles;
- track visitors across unrelated websites;
- deliver targeted advertising; or
- identify individual visitors for marketing purposes.
Plausible may process limited technical information necessary to generate aggregate website statistics.
For additional information about how IdGenum handles usage information, see our Privacy Policy.
5. Strictly Necessary Technologies
The IdGenum Service may use cookies, browser storage, session identifiers, or similar technologies that are necessary to provide requested functionality or maintain security. These may include technologies used for:
Authentication and Account Security
IdGenum uses authentication services, including Amazon Cognito and related application components, to support login and account security.
Depending on the authentication flow and application configuration, authentication services may use session cookies, security tokens, browser storage, or similar technologies to:
- maintain authenticated sessions;
- protect against cross-site request forgery or similar attacks;
- support account verification;
- preserve login-state information; and
- secure authentication requests.
These technologies are used for account and security purposes rather than advertising.
Payment and Fraud Prevention
IdGenum uses Stripe for payment and subscription processing.
Stripe may use cookies, browser storage, device information, or similar technologies during checkout and payment interactions for purposes that may include:
- payment processing;
- authentication;
- fraud detection and prevention;
- security;
- maintaining checkout sessions; and
- remembering payment-related choices requested by the user.
The exact technologies used may vary depending on the Stripe services and payment methods involved.
6. Technologies We Do Not Currently Use
IdGenum does not currently use:
- Google Analytics;
- Meta Pixel;
- Facebook advertising cookies;
- advertising cookies for cross-site behavioral targeting; or
- analytics cookies through Plausible.
The one non-essential cookie we do use is the FirstPromoter referral cookie described in Section 3, which is set only with your consent.
If IdGenum introduces additional non-essential analytics, advertising, or similar tracking technologies in the future, we will update this notice and provide any additional notice, choice, or consent mechanism required by applicable law before or when those technologies are activated.
8. Browser Controls
Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies and other stored website data through browser settings.
Blocking technologies that are necessary for authentication, security, or payment functionality may prevent portions of the IdGenum Service from working correctly.
Because Plausible Analytics does not rely on analytics cookies in IdGenum's standard implementation, disabling browser cookies does not serve as an analytics opt-out for Plausible.
To stop the FirstPromoter referral cookie, decline or withdraw consent through the cookie-consent banner or your Privacy Choices. You can also delete any FirstPromoter referral cookie already stored using your browser settings.
9. Third-Party Services
Certain technologies may be provided by third-party service providers that support IdGenum. Current providers relevant to cookies or similar technologies may include:
- Amazon Web Services / Amazon Cognito — authentication, account security, and related infrastructure;
- Stripe — payment processing, checkout, authentication, and fraud prevention;
- FirstPromoter — affiliate referral attribution via the non-essential referral cookie described in Section 3, set only with your consent; and
- Plausible Analytics — privacy-focused aggregate website analytics without analytics cookies in our standard implementation.
Third-party providers may update the technologies they use as their services evolve. IdGenum therefore describes these technologies by their purpose rather than publishing an exhaustive list of every technical cookie name, token, or browser-storage key.
For more information about our service providers and personal-information practices, see our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to This Notice
We may update this notice to reflect changes in our technology, service providers, legal requirements, or privacy practices.
If we introduce non-essential cookies or similar tracking technologies that require additional notice or consent, we will update this notice and the relevant user controls before or when those technologies are activated.
The "Last updated" date at the top of this page identifies the most recent revision.
