Your identity. Your choices. Preserved beyond your lifetime.

Your digital identity may continue to exist long after you stop actively managing it.

IdGenum Legacy is designed to help you document how your identity record should be handled, designate trusted people who may act on your behalf, and preserve the information needed to support continuity over time.

It is not a replacement for a will, trust, executor, or estate attorney. Instead, it gives those people a clearer record of the digital identity decisions you made while you were here.

Your digital identity needs a continuity plan

Your face, voice, identity records, permissions, and digital presence do not simply disappear when you are no longer able to manage them. Without clear instructions, the people you trust may not know:

  • who is authorized to access your IdGenum record
  • what permissions you wanted preserved
  • what activity should continue to be monitored
  • what actions should be restricted
  • where important identity records can be found

IdGenum Legacy creates a structured record of those decisions.

How Legacy works

Document your instructions

Record how you want your IdGenum identity record and associated digital identity information handled in the future. Your instructions can include preferences related to access, monitoring, representatives, permissions, and preservation. You can review and update those instructions while you remain in control of your account.

Designate trusted representatives

Choose the people you trust to help manage permitted aspects of your IdGenum record when a verified transition event occurs. Depending on your plan, you can designate one or multiple Legacy Representatives and define their roles and priority. A Legacy Representative may be a family member, executor, trustee, attorney, or another trusted person you choose — IdGenum does not determine whether that individual is legally an heir or beneficiary.

Verify before sensitive changes occur

A transition in control should not happen simply because someone requests it. IdGenum is designed to use a verification workflow — representative identity verification, supporting documentation, event review, authorization checks, and additional attestations where required — before sensitive post-transition actions are enabled. Once verification is complete, the record can enter the appropriate Legacy state according to your recorded instructions.

Preserve the record

After verification, IdGenum can restrict sensitive changes to help preserve the integrity of your identity record. Your Legacy record can retain your recorded instructions, designated representatives, permissions, verification history, important account activity, and relevant identity documentation — providing continuity for the people you authorized to act on your behalf.

Identity freeze after verification

Preserve what you established.

After a verified transition event, IdGenum can place sensitive portions of your identity record into a restricted state.

The purpose is not to transfer legal ownership of your identity. It is to help prevent unauthorized changes to the identity record you established.

Authorized representatives may then receive access only to the functions permitted by your Legacy settings and IdGenum policies.

Continued Legacy monitoring

Protection does not have to end when account ownership changes.

For supported plans, IdGenum can continue monitoring for potential misuse of the protected likeness associated with a Legacy record. When relevant activity is identified, alerts can be routed to representatives who have been authorized to receive them.

IdGenum can help preserve information about what was detected so the authorized representative can determine what action, if any, should be taken. That keeps the decision with the people you selected rather than automatically acting in their name.

With Legacy Premium, authorized representatives can have access to a secure dashboard showing the information and actions permitted by your Legacy settings.

Access is role-based, so each representative sees only what they have been authorized to see.

Your representatives stay informed

Depending on their role, representatives may review

  • Legacy status
  • Instructions
  • Permissions
  • Monitoring alerts
  • Verification events
  • Activity history
  • Available administrative actions

A record your family and advisors can use

IdGenum Legacy can provide an exportable record of your digital identity instructions and relevant account information. You may choose to share that record with people such as your family, executor, trustee, attorney, or estate advisor.

The export is intended to support communication and planning. It does not replace a will, trust, power of attorney, or other legal estate-planning document.

The Art of the Possible

A trusted digital identity foundation can enable new ways to verify, authorize, and manage how your likeness is used over time.

Future capabilities shown below are illustrative and are not included in current Legacy plans unless specifically stated.

Authorized Likeness Licensing

Allow brands, studios, creators, or platforms to request permission to use your verified likeness under terms you control.

Future IdGenum capabilities could help document permissions, approved uses, and licensing activity tied to a verified identity record.

Verified AI Representation

Help distinguish AI agents or digital representations that you have explicitly authorized from those that have not.

A verified identity credential could provide a trusted way to connect approved AI activity back to the person it represents.

Digital Presence Authentication

Use verified identity information to help establish which digital profiles, avatars, or virtual representations are authentically connected to you.

As digital environments evolve, trusted identity credentials could help support more reliable interactions across compatible platforms.

Cross-Platform Identity Portability

Give individuals greater control over how verified identity information can move between compatible platforms and services.

Future standards-based credentials could allow selected verification information to be shared without rebuilding identity from scratch on every platform.

Authorized Legacy Use

Record how your likeness may — or may not — be used after your lifetime, and give authorized representatives a clearer reference for those choices.

Future capabilities could help connect those recorded permissions to licensing, AI representations, and other approved digital uses.

Build for what comes next.
